In the end Emily found out the truth about her parents past and what secrets they had been hiding from her. Even though it ended up putting Eli in danger everything worked out in the end. She ended up going home to Florida, but was given the freedom to go back to Snowflake whenever she wanted. She went to Snowflake with only one family, but left with a second family, plus several others, including Oz.
