I love how Sterling thought there was only few other people in the world like his aunt Lillie. I also thought this about my old babysitter Diana who was the sweetest person in the world. When she told us she had to leave I worried I would never find anyone as sweet as her but luckily my new nanny, Norda just about matched Diana's good will.

I did not think it was fair that Rascal had to locked up for 2 weeks because he bit Slammy. Slammy took a rubber band and shot Rascal in the face with it so of course the raccoon bit him. Any animal would bite someone if they shot a rubber band in their face out of self defense just like a human would defend them self if threatened. Slammy wasn't even punished for what he did.

It is so sad how often Sterling's dad is gone. Sterling is pretty much left on his own for a month receiving no messages from his father. He also has to make his own money while his father is gone so he can eat. In the beginning I didn't like his sisters because I thought they were rude busting in on his life but I think Sterling needs a motherly figure like that.

I feel so bad for Rascal now that he has to get a leash and a cage. He is so sweet and wouldn't harm a fly yet the people in the town are so selfish that they want to lock him up. That is pretty much equal to locking up your dog for no reason. I wish the people would realize how sweet Rascal is and stop being so rude.

Rascal seems so funny to me because he is just like a human. He eats in a high chair, is only willing to sleep in a bed and it seemed as though he understands English and has feelings. He is so friendly and a perfect companion.

I am waiting for the problem in the story to come because in the summary it says that one spring day everything changes... There has been so many spring days and nothing has happened. I am still enjoying the book because it is very sincere but I want a little more excitement.

I honestly do not like Theo because I think he can't except the fact that Sterling and his father live differently that's when their mother was alive. Theo is also very arrogant and bossy and I string to change Sterling's way of life. She thinks she is royalty and she acts like Sterling and his father are peasants that need charity.

I find it so funny that such a sweet women would marry such a grumpy old man. Instead of scolding Oscar and Poe for taking the baby racon she taught them how to take care of it. She even seemed pretty informed about taking care of a raccoon as if she had one of her own. I think it is good though the Oscar's mom is so nice because his dad is so mean that if his mother was as well it would be very overwhelming.
