So far in the book what happens is Greg is trying to find a new school club because you are required to do so. Greg has been thinking about it for a week. He has tried different clubs but hasn't found the right one for him. For example, in the book he has tried the Dancing Club but he didn't like it because everyone would just copy his moves. But in the end he found the perfect and easy club for him.

In the book so far, Greg wanted a new phone. But his parents wouldn't allow him to get a new one. They thought it was too much responsibility so they let him keep his old phone. Then later, Greg figures out a way that he could get a new phone. Greg thought that he could use reverse psychology. For example in the text it says, "I don't want a phone anymore it's too much responsibility." After that he got his phone.

Greg's family has been separated because his family had lost a ring that was worth a lot and now everyone is searching for it. Greg doesn't really care but he does want it. So the next time they saw each other they were all looking for the ring again. Instead of spending time with each other. They all go out and look for the ring. This is really bad for the family. For example two sisters in the family were separated
