This is getting interesting. I’m kind of sad that Gwen can’t work with Mal anymore but she was getting close to the truth. In all honesty, I don’t really know if I want Mal to get caught, he did something terrible but... I don’t know. I hope the pace picks up in the following chapters, the slow pace is making me nervous and tense, which is the wanted effect I suppose. I’m enjoying it so far.

Could Charlie be Brian? I don’t think so, I don’t know what twist or who I’m expecting to be our cold-blooded killer, but Brian just doesn’t feel right.

I forgot to mention what I think about the cat situation. It’s kind of messed up, a constant remainder of the murder, and little Nero being desperate for the affection of his owner who is dead. Moving on, I didn’t think Pruitt was going to be Charlie, but his death just makes Charlie scarier. I’m excited to know his identity.

It’s quite fascinating how someone with such a normal life can be a murderer, it reinforces the idea that you really don’t know anyone. I’m desperate to know who Charlie is and to see the next murder he commits.

This book is interesting. I rarely read mystery/thriller novels, but I followed a recommendation trying to get into the genre and so far I’m not disappointed, although the pace of the story feels a little slow sometimes.
