Childhood bliss and ignorance are often taken for granted and overlooked, but once it's gone it never comes back. Denmark turning Nazi Germany was dangerous for Jews, lucky for Anne Marie she is not Jewish. Her best friend, on the other hand, wears the Star of David at all times on her neck. Saving her friend and other Jews is a lot to ask for from adults but for a child, the fear and adrenaline are high.
