It has taken me a while to read this wonderful and beautiful classic. I am enjoying the literary rollercoaster as one of Victor Hugo's greatest works. There are many chapters where I am forced to review France's history in order to fully understand but, nonetheless, am grateful for the unabridged version. I am savoring every page.
