Go for the Silmarillion next if you enjoy LotR, it delves as deep as dwarves into the lore behind Tolkien's Legendarium. Most of it goes unmentioned in LotR. For reference, Hobbit + LotR are summarized in 30-40 pages in the Silmarillion. It's a tough read in the beginning because the first few chapters are written in 'biblical' English, they are mostly about Eru Iluvatar (basically Tolkien himself) creating the Ainur (his thoughts) and the subsequent creation of Middle-Earth and Valinor. Arrival of the Elves marks the First Age where some of the best lore happens, LotR's events mark the end of the Third Age.
I really wish I can experience the Silmarillion for the first time again, all other high fantasy is a blade of grass in Tolkien's forest.
