I can't believe a high schooler could have the nerve to shoot at his classmates! Eric just started shooting at everyone he saw. I wonder how many more people would have died if their bombs went off in the cafeteria? And why didn't Dylan have the nerve to actually shoot anyone? He seemed really excited about it, but what made him not shoot anyone? I hope they share that later in the book.

I was surprised to find out that the girl didn't admit that she believed in god before she died. The entire story seemed so realistic, it's so weird that the story spread around so quickly. I think the girl who actually said that she believed in god should get way more credit.

It seems strange how Eric and Dylan are able to seem so nice and normal around some adults. They act kind and honest at the right times, but are also able to lie very easily. Eric deserved to have his web site sold out to the authorities by Dylan, because Eric blamed Dylan on the van incident.

Dylan seems so depressed and angry when he wrote in his journal. At some points, I felt kinda bad for him. However, I feel extremely bad for Patrick. I hope that he'll be able to walk and talk again. It would be horrible if he couldn't. He seems so angry and confused when he tries to communicate with people.

I think it's very wrong for the media to assume that the killers were goths who were bullied. They had no proof that this was true but said it on live TV anyway. The problem was that the world wanted to know why the shooting happened, and no one really knew why.

I think Dave Sanders could have lived. If the SWAT team were more organized and had gotten to the room he was in quicker, they could have easily saved him. The boys that helped him were very smart and did their best to keep him alive. i hope they don't feel lie it was their fault that Dave died.

After the shooting, a lot of the students were getting tired of their moms constantly hugging them whenever they saw them. It makes me wonder what my parents would do if they were in the same situation. I would guess that they'd do the same thing.

I feel very bad for the parents who had a child killed in the shooting. Their hopes were kept up for way to long and they should have been informed about their child much sooner. The bodies should have also been a priority for the authorities to take care of along with finding other bombs.

I don't think the sheriff should have lied about information to the press. He just made up answers to most of the questions that interviewers asked him. He should have just told the truth and said he didn't know everything. I'm really wondering why the Swat team didn't go straight to the room with the sign on the window that said "1 bleeding to death". That should have been one of the first priorities.

Whenever a chapter ends, it's either suspenseful or shocking. It's hard to put this book down. One line was "the reason that none of the five boys had called their parents was because they'd all been shot" and then the chapter ended. There's also tons of stories happening at the same time, its hard to keep up with sometimes. It's such a crazy book and I want to keep reading it!

I can't believe the police were not allowed to enter the school for such a long time. Maybe if they were allowed in earlier then they could have saved more people. I hope there is an explanation for all of this is later.
