really good book, composed & cogent, facts are timely complemented w/footnotes; author has a resourceful mind, organizes & lays out critical points to issues that are meaningful. he meticulously pinpoints fault lines, measures cracks in the earth. wanna buy a copy. his articulating folks’ disenchantment penetrates “yea, what he said!”

The machinery is indicated by such terms as labyrinth, maze, swamp. apathy and despondency are then natural responses to such oppressive, such institutionalized and sanctioned oppression.
