One of the main characters, Agustus, passed away after he had a relapse in his cancer. Hazle just arrived at his funeral and walks up to his coffin.

Hazel and Issac are practicing what they will say at Agustus's funeral while Agustus listens to them. Hazel is having a hard time, but she knows she needs to be there for him.

Hazel and Augustus visit Issac, and hazel thinks it is ridiculous that Issac's ex-girlfriend hasn't checked up on him after what happened. They decide to go to her house and egg her car. They got caught, but nothing happened since Augustus told the mom that Issac is blind. The very last thing I read was Agustus goes to the hospital because he was having chest pains.

Hazle and Augustus are leaving Amsterdam, but right before they leave Hazle finds out shocking news. Agustus's cancer came back and he never told her. She is taken by surprise by this news and does not know what to do.
