In chapter 13 there is a proper meet of Jane and Mr.Rochester. I highlighted their entire convo. Was it me or mr. Rochester was quite peculiar. He did seem harsh to Jane maybe because I read it so quickly or maybe because it was this way. I don’t know. But I liked the convo. I will listen t9 the convo in audiobook format to help myself comprehend it.

Jane talks about the difference between chores and expectations for different genders and how this is unfair. Which I absolutely loved and agreed with. She meets Mr. Rochester and doesn’t recognise her. I think Mr. Rochester is going to fall in love with Jane eyre and she will except him and then lead a happy life like every book. This seems predictable for now. Don’t know what else is to come(Plot twist)

Jane arrives at thornfield where she meets the housekeeper Mrs. Fairflax. She learns thornfeild belongs to Mr. Rochester. She meets Adele her pupil, who is a very fun child(according to me). She learns about Adele. She gets a house tour of thornfield. She has a good time.

Jane fast forwards 8 years of her life. And tells how she has developed into a lady. But she wants change so she advertises to be a governess. Mrs. Fairfax sends her a letter for the job. She prepares to go to thornfill and before she sets out she finds Bessie. I can’t believe Anne never read this chapter. This chapter has so much and i loved Jane and Bessie’s conversation. I adore their relation. I love this

Just after the winter months ended there is a disease spread in her school in which 45 out of 80 girls are ill and most of them die. Jane enjoys the nature and sceneries, while Helen is sick. After a bit of conversation it is declared that Helen will die soon enough. She is a believer of god and believes that she will be taken care of so doesn’t worry, where Jane grieves. Helen’s death was quite predictable.

Jane eyre is very much like Anne. Imaginative, strong willed, fun to be around and against social rules also quite egoistic. But, I like that about her. Jane is badly assaulted in her house by mrs. Reed(whom I hate as Jane). When Jane goes to school, she thinks her life will change for the better. In school there are very strict rules. Mr. Broklehurst is very cruel. But Helen and Jane’s friendship grows.
