Thank you so much Roy, your book arrived yesterday! It's having to compete for my reading time with Emily Wilson's translation of The Odyssey, but you'll be pleased to hear that it's looking like a pretty even fight :)

Next you'll say it doesn't mention Trump. Honestly, what does it have?

I have written to Professor Wilson and suggested that the next edition of her Odyssey should contain a few Trump references. I even gave her a couple of rhymes. She hasn't got back to me, but it's early days yet.
Those kinds of references always play well to the masses.
I tried not to come across as overly critical, but her book does have a slightly elitist air about it that's bound to hurt sales. A few simple edits could fix that. For example, why not change "Telemachus" to "Odysseus Jr"?
