Yeah I had to buy the physical copy of this book - so informative, & full of hikes to do. We generally try to go to Nat'l Parks for camping, but maybe we need to start focusing on regions of OR. Certain parts of it, anyway.

New goal: go camping/hiking in each of these areas! we're really close to a few of these regions, but anything further is a little too far for a day trip. we did Brice Creek in Umpqua & it was a 3-hour drive one-way. the hike was amazing, but it was a really long & tiring day.

Obsessed.
I cried the other night reading up on the hikes in the Clackamas-Santiam region - I knew Opal Creek was closed, but there are a few others as well and it was like reliving the fires all over again. Last year was such shit, but those fires were soul-scarring.
The physical copy arrived today & I'm so excited - all the maps & pictures make sense because they're in color!
