We have just met the ruler of the universe, and took a tour of his magnificent palace... Which just so happens to be a shack on a deserted planet. As it turns out, the ruler doesn't really know anything. He cannot decide whether reality really is reality, or whether anything actually happens. However, he does enjoy good science experiments, such as talking to his table for a week to see how it would react.

And then the universe ended.

These books have a perfect mix of philosophy, science, and weirdness. They're great. Currently Arthur, Zaphod, Trillian, and Ford are dining in a restaurant... that overlooks the end of the universe as we know it! How cool is that?

"I'm so amazingly cool you could keep a side of meat in me for a month. I'm so hip I have trouble seeing over my pelvis." I can relate to this... People just don't understand how hard it is. Anyways, Zaphod was just shown the size of the infinite universe compared to his size, but he's perfectly fine so all's goos.
