An example of indirect characterization in The Choice is when Eden lets her sisters tease her. Even though Eden doesn't say this out loud she is annoyed by it, but she lets them do it anyways. This reveals that Eden is patient.

My book begins with action and description about a guy named Jason Fuller entering Dr. Edith's office. I really liked the beginning because it was suspicious. I also feel like it made the book more interesting because Jason isn't talked about until much later in the book.

As I'm reading The Choice I'm wondering how Edith and Magada survived. I wonder how did they find the strength to go on when everyone they loved was gone. I am curios to learn more about Edith's choice. I also am curios to learn how Eden even in the darkest of times was able to focus on not what she has lost but what she still had.
