The things the revolutionaries did to the Vendéens were atrocious. It defies description, the things they did. They make one shudder at the wickedness of some people. It was like they were possesed by devils. It was horrible.
It is too terrible to write about, like Hell on earth.

The Vendéens were just the best. Many thanks to Anthony Tr..ollope for intoducing me too them in his book, "La Vendée.
So far a pretty good book, albeit I can imagine it being confusing to someone who knew little previously about the Vendéens.
