Not as compelling as I remember it being so very long ago. And so many pages. Sigh. Determined.

Starting to wonder if I did read this book long ago. Not jogging my memory yet. Soooo, there were a couple memories I possess and decided to Google.
First, I recalled a character spelling everything "M-O-O-N". Well, research showed that this memory was of a King novel, but "The Stand".
Second, popcorn smelling like urine stands out as a memory. Research shows this one is from this novel, a character named Jack.

I do like it, but, for the life of me, at page 74 cannot remember having read it before and not sure I find it as compelling as the memory of reading left me all these years. And, the first thing I do when I pick up a book to read is turn to the last page, not to read the ending but just to know how long a ride this journey will be. 735 pages is daunting. I hope I am up for this task.

Re-reading as I recall it was my favorite book and I was so enthralled with it. But it was eons ago and I want it to be fresh for the sequel that follows for my next read.
