So I get to sit for two hours every morning for 5 days while I have my iron drip and the result, lots of great reading. Laura Bickle aka Alayna Williams does her research. The fire investigation info is top-notch and she makes whatever she writes very believable.

I was born in Detroit so I can't help wanting to cheer for a book based in Detroit. I read and enjoyed book 1. Cant wait to read book 2.

She did indeed have a lot of great info about arson investigators. At least I thought so from my very layman pov. :D

I guess I should qualify my opinion as a layman pov as well. Arson investigation I don't know, criminal procedure, I do.
Well, I know neither, so she impressed me all around. :)I'm an author's wet dream. I don't have a background in most everything I read about so I am very easily convinced they know what they're talking about! LOL.
