I think the theme of the book is embrace who you are. I think this because of Ruby. Ruby believes she is a monster because she has a dangerous power and keeps it hidden. Once she tells them who she is the accept her and help her understand her powers.

I the book "Darkest Minds" there are four main characters then the P.S.F's. I would say Ruby is the protagonist because the book is told from her point of view. I would also say that the P.S.F's/skip tracers are the villains because they are the obstacles in the way of the main goal

In the book "Darkest Minds" inciting information happens quite early. I happens when one of the kids activates his powers to make one of the "P.S.F" workers pull a gun on herself. This sets the plot because its the first time we see activation of the powers given by the illness.

I started the book "The Darkest Minds". In the first page we learn that there is a infection that adult are immune to. That is all we learn in the first page.
