My character ran away from home to compete in a race. This says a lot. She didn't think this all the way through and instead just went with no plan and nothing to help. This says that she doesn't think steps through and the first thought that comes to mind is what she goes with. This reveals a major part of her character

The plot has thickened. Pretia now can't do the race. This is because it is taking place in a bad town where people want to hurt and kill Pretia because of her parents and powers. This is a tragedy because she has trained her whole life for this just to go down the drain. This is defenitly part of the plot because everything happens for a reason

the side kick is Rovi. He is always the second choice and stays behind to help Pretia. In this story Rovi holds a very important role. He is the helper. He is not as great but good campaired to Pretia. Hes almost as good but he doesn't have powers like Pretia which puts him in a smaller position.

in the begging we learned about shifting to another form of Pretia. This way she can run faster, there is a huge race coming up that Pretia want to compete in. Some people think its fair for her to use this power because they say use what the gods gave you, some think it unfair because they don't have the same option. this may be a incident for the future.

On the first page it introduced the main character Pretia. She is a girl who loves to run, but will be the queen of her city one day. We also know Rovi, Pretia's close friend who goes everywhere with her. The setting is in a castle though it doesn't say what its called. The conflict might be about Pretia becoming queen when she doesn't want to go that route. The genre is fantasy fiction.
