This has been a really slow, dull read until recently. Things picked up after Bibi was imprisoned, though. Bibi has gone through an extremely dark time and is just emerging from that now with her rape-child (Dirt-Baby) and the phage that was birthed with it. This book is _finally_ starting to get interesting. Too bad it took so much very uninteresting set up to get here, though.

I am getting a good picture of the world and social structures that Bibi lives in, but the pace is almost glacial at times.
