It is possible, likely even, that I have subconscious biases when it comes to race, class, gender, and more. But when I read stories - in the newspaper, in this book, in my friends' social media posts - about the blatant surveillance and intimidation, I honestly can't comprehend it.

I'm amazed how lower/working class whites have so much more in common with Blacks, but solely because of skin color, identify with upper class whites who have more money, education, and opportunity than they ever will.
