Heart of Stone was a banger, dang!

Justine may very well be one of the best short stories I’ve read. I’m shook, just shook.

“Pure water” on the other hand... meh. Cool concept, macabre imagery and of course solid writing but was hampered due to rushed pacing. It almost seemed like I was reading an outline of pivotal plot points with no filler in between them. Hope to see this one get reworked for a future rerelease but for now 2/5 stars.

Dang “Have you seen my dog” had me hooked by it’s haunting imagery intriguing plot, and a small cast of fun to read characters. Ending wasn’t as strong as the rest of the story (mostly due to it feeling a lil rushed) and I wished that there was a happier resolution to it all. But life isn’t like that so I can respect the brave decision for Gemma to leave me haunted by the dog owner who never rests. 4 stars.
