Am I the only one really unhappy with the GR choice picks for Romance this year?

And I wrote in most, myself. I think I didn't Paranormal (Anne Bishop) and Mystery/Suspense(David Galbraith/J.K.Rowling). This year's romance, for me, was "Heart of Obsidian".

Will go snoop through past years... They really need to have a NA category and Erotica category and put these books there...
Paranormal? Well, I suppose it is, lol. I guess I always associated that category with UF/Fantasy, rather than PNR.
And hot shifters at that. It's a fascinating world. Both of her series are set in such different, yet intriguing worlds. She really is on of my favorite authors...

Yes I know what you mean, for some books I'd just like to erase my memory and read for the first time <3Thank you :)))
I'm with you Mimi, I not happy with the Romance nominations AT ALL! ... and I think I only read one book out of all the other categories nominated.
I read a lot, but I don't think I'm that far out the of new releases loop to have missed everything!
I only voted in YA, YA PNR, Mystery and PNR/Fantasy this time around. There are books I love there. But in romance, which I read more than anything? Of course not, it's the age of "Beautiful Disaster" and like. I'm as fine as anyone with NA, but that is NOT what I see as romance. And, JR Ward disappointed me with Blay&Qhuinn, so I'm not voting for that either.
I'm protesting by abstaining in the Romance genre. Not like GR knows or cares, but it makes me feel better.
I think I've read TWO of them. The genre is almost completely saturated with New Adult right now....angsty, angsty, angsty. I see the appeal on occasion, but that's not all that's out there! So yeah, I'm very disappointed.
