Not so much into it as hype would have predicted.
I'm being put off by the underlying sexism of the book. It's understandable because of the time when it was published and also of the era when the story unfolds. But the wedding night scene is pretty much a rape scene, and I'm uncomfortable with the total lack of sympathy for the various female characters.
