Yeah, that's kind of a drag in the first few. It was one of the reasons I almost quit reading.

I know I got over it (as is evidenced by the fact that I still read them), but I'm trying to remember now if that's why I was kind of meh on the series until Summer Knight?I might have to do some ratings adjustment.
I still want to eat at Mac's, though.
Speaking of Mac, now that I'm all caught up, I SO want to know what's up with him. I mean, seriously. WHAT IS UP WITH THAT GUY.
What IS up with him?! Every book that doesn't tell us more just pisses me off.

Well, Butcher hung a lampshade on it in the last book, so I think (hopefully) it might be coming up soon? Like in the next book, or the one after? (she said hopefully)

Yeah, I was expecting something different because of your review, but I ended up loving Cold Days. I think I liked it better than Ghost Story, actually, and I really liked that one. It just hit the spot.
Ha! Yeah, I don't know why I thought Skin Game was coming out this year. Really disappointing when I found out it doesn't even have a release date yet. Oh, well. I can wait.
I ALSO thought Skin Game was coming out this year, so don't feel bad. Idk why Cold Days didn't work for me. I felt like it was just rushrushrush, but not much happened. It was very early Dresden, if that makes sense? Plus, I felt like the Molly shit was too telegraphed to come as a surprise. [sadface]
I think I wanted him to go somewhere I wasn't expecting, so when it turned out I'd guessed right, I was kinda pissed.
Ghost Story was kickass, though, and is one of my favourites of the series.
I am kinda tempted to skip this one, though, cos I remember almost giving up on the series here. :|
