I cannot fathom the justice system gaslighting Chanel and using words from her court statement against her to deem BT, subjectively, as remorseful. Also, for the judge to quote from her statement to allow BT to have a lesser sentence feels like a slap to the face. The justice system does not need to coddle men.

Some of the discussions Miller makes brings a visceral reaction out of me as situations with men in Western society are all too familiar to me and other women. I even remember the Isla Vista killings like yesterday. This chapter (4) was a hard one to go through without getting frustrated.
