Beowulf is about a hero fighting a monster who has killed many people over the last 12 years. I think that this book gives a lot of description about a character/setting which allows the reader to feel like they are in another world. On the other hand, the illustrations did not capture the fearful features of Grendel.

He had the strength of 30 men in one arm and defeated horrifying creatures that terrorized the land in his victorious life.
