I'm only 50 pages in, but I really like the main character, Tris, so far. I feel like her story arc is going to be really interesting, but I'm not far into the book so its hard to tell. One thing that I think is going to happen judging by there being a 2nd and 3rd book is that there's going to be an unhappy ending. Anything might happen that ruins everything for the main characters, leading to the second book.

I'm not sure if I like the part of the Choosing Ceremony to choose which faction they go in. If they already have the aptitude test, then why would they have to then "cut his hand" to choose which one they're going to be in. I think whenever Trice goes up, she's not going to pick anything and she's just gonna drop her blood on the floor instead of any object.

I picked this book because it was suggested by my Aunt who's a high school teacher. I feel like it's good for my reading level. It's not too easy and it's not too hard. Once I finish the first I would like to read the rest of them. If I were to tell a friend about this book I would tell them that it's a really good, action packed book that'd be good to read if you like a lot of things happening in a short time.
