Never read book about serial killers when you're home alone, even in broad daylight. The last few essays have been decently written and researched rather than being op-ed style pieces. This is more what I'd expected.

Slow going. about one in every four essays is well written; the rest read like pet coffee house theory or an outline of a good idea which never came to full being and lacks research..

I wish the authors of these essays had made more effort to apply the philosophy to real serial killers instead of fictional ones.
