I learned about the international destructiveness scall and the American relative size scale. Avalanche runout distance was also explained. The previous chapter was about how avalanches flow. The differences between a wet avalanche and a dry avalanche were compared. Dry avalanches are the more dangerous, deadly, and sizeable of the two. The next chapter will focus on terrain.

Ok, obviously with the recent blistering heat I'm going to put this book down until late fall when once again the glorious cooler temperatures come and snow begins to grace our lives. In the meantime I will pick up other adventures.
