God, I hate Kendall so much. She's like Nudge from Maximum Ride; nothing more than a caricature of a girly girl.

I don't like the way that Rourke kind of made fun of the idea of moral complexity, and not wanting to kill people. Not a good sign.

This is... alright, I guess. The writing is pretty good, and the characters have personalities, but they don't act much like real people. And the plot hasn't really kicked off yet. Meh.

These characters don't really act like real people, more like cartoon characters. There's a lot of kicking people in annoyance and nervous stammering and suchlike.

I actually met Rourke at DragonCon, and she signed the book for me! Yay! Anyway, I've been told that it's similar to Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I should be skeptical, because the last time an author got me to read her book because it was similar to something else I liked, it turned out to be horrible, but I'm pretty excited.
