The author's writing is odd when it comes to the stories at sea. He writes as if he wants to do poetry about people at sea, but for whatever reason decides against it but forgets to edit the poetic portions.

Sisters was interesting with the twist, but the writing was odd. It seemed like it wanted to be poetic in places but then whips back into prose. If the author wanted to write more poetic, then they should've been more poetic. Doing the whiplash messes up the rhythm of the story.
