An intriguing enough start. A ship that tunnels wormholes is a pretty cool thing, but I'm getting more Alien vibes than Star Trek so far. Only met two of the crew but there's a "truckers in space" kind of feel. Corbin appears to be racist (or speciesist?).

A fun exposition dump of the sci-fi techobabble that will be powering this story. Honestly, it mostly came across as laying the groundwork for all the things that are bound to go wrong as things progress.

I like the crew members that we've been introduced to so far, and there's a decent mystery with Rosemary's background. What's she running from, and who is she really? The ship's AI, Lovey, also made a good first impression (although many sci-fi stories have taught me to be wary of ship's AI).
