At the way beginning of the book McCandless was found dead in the Fairbanks City Transit Bus. Then later on in the book, they started to write letters to each other. But on of the letters had said that the main character may never come back to see his friends. He had said the same exact thing to another friend of him that he may never come back. Those letters to me seemed kind of sad.
