unexpected bedtime reading this week with kiddo. Happy to read with her, crap circumstances.

Challenge number 2 down. again, kiddo went out like a light right as the action starts... what is with that?

We are chipping away at it. Big pages and a huge book... but at this rate we might be done before the next one comes out.

we've completed through the christmas ball. fitting for the moment, I suppose.

First challenge down. Surprisingly, the action really knocked the kiddo out tonight - she fell asleep right in the middle of it all...

we've been cruising right along in the evenings. So much nicer to be able to read with her more often again.

I have forced the issue in reading chapter books for bedtime again, and so we progress.

Always a fight with this six year old about any book that isn’t a picture book she picked.

But language development at a higher level requires just good long reading time.

Maybe I’ll start reading Pratchett to her at night.

We have been doing a chapter per night.

Much easier to do when the chapters are shorter, though.

Finished chapter 3, with a wiggly six year old audience.
