I have no fucking clue what's going on anymore, but damn if this book ain't hella quotable.

She said, ‘Where is the other girl?’—in English!”

Not gonna lie, the chills this gave me, was completely unwarranted but oh so very welcome.

"Neutrinos, one of the building blocks of all matter in the universe, are elemental particles, born from cataclysmic violence like supernova explosions, gamma ray bursts, super-massive black holes and the Big Bang."

This irks me, because although not entirely wrong, it is untrue. Majority of the neutrinos that we encounter on earth comes from the sun. Not the freaking big bang.

"My mother always spoke Korean to me, but when telling her stories she didn’t sound like herself. No rich amber tones, weighted with regret—instead, her voice hollowed like a will-o’-wisp untethered."
