I really hope this book will surprise me and the Rook won't turn out to be who I think it is...

According to the synopsis, this is what the book is about: "And as nightmare magic begins to weave its way through the City of Dreams"

I'm 25% in and...honestly haven't seen anything to indicate there's magic seeping through the city.

This is apparently a very slow build. 👀
