So far, The Road has been boring and repetitive. I haven't found it interesting or exciting. Set in an apocalyptic type of world, a man and boy, which is what they are called, are traveling South to escape the cold. From what I can gather based upon the ash described and burnt buildings, the world went up in flames. The man and boy just trekked through a mountain pass and they are struggling to find warmth and food.

This book moves so slowly I get bored reading it. The man and his son have made it over the mountain and are continuing their trek South. They just encountered a man, perhaps the first they've ever seen since the apocalypse, walking along the road. The boy wanted to help him but the man said there was nothing they could do for him, and kept walking. Soon after that they discovered a trailer full of corpses...
