I’m not sure what the point of this book is. All she does is say what happens... There’s no reason for her to tell me any of this. There’s zero elaboration. It might as well be a checklist. There was a big rat. There was a fire. We went to the zoo. Mom was quirky and a poor mother. Dad drank. We were left alone a lot. My gramma was nuts.
Ok...so?
