This part is very interesting! Its about major extinction periods in earths history and possible causes of the extinctions. It is very interesting and fun-to-read. I can't wait to get on with reading it and stop typing this at 9:15 PM. At the exact part I'm at, he is talking about how a really strong solar flare could, instead of just bouncing off of earths magnetic field, destroying everything and leaving no trace!

I just finished a sub-chapter called the Rise of Life and now I am on Small World. So far this sub-chapter is about microbes and cells living in and on you. Did you know Clostridium perfringens one of the most pernicious of bacteria,can lie dormant for long periods, then flood a host with billions of offspring in a matter of hours. The unhappy results range from blood poisoning to gas gangrene. A fact from my book.
