I haven't read the author's other book but I was kind of under the assumption that this book was going to be funny. And it started out that way. But the it got pretty serious. I'm still reading it but it's a little slower because I was really hoping for something a little more lighthearted for the end of the year. That's my bad for not doing my research beforehand but this is not a book you'll fly through laughing.
