I abandoned Rosie because I grew bored with the use of the epistolary conceit; given the very repetitive and dull letters she exchanges with her faraway love, Alex, I'm surprised they stayed in touch at all. The author should study "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society" for tips on effective letter-sharing in novels.
