Alan Aspinall I may have to give it ago, I'm not a huge King fan, But i loved Salems lot, and pet semetery, and so I know the man can write well, but I find his books a bit slow to get going

He has recently (this decade) delved into more horror/crime fiction, and with these stories needing more conventional structures and resolutions, they are pretty compelling, and to an extent don't even 'feel' like Stephen King reads!

Alan Aspinall Well a good writer dose evolved and adapt with time, it could be he was growing board with his old style,

Alan Aspinall And when you have been writing as long as he has, its all to easy to lose your edge,

To be honest, I personally thought that King had lost his edge in the Noughties, and was pleased to see him return to form in the last decade.

It's been fun talking... I really should go and check out some of your work, I am not much of a fan of straight-up horror, so what would you recommend?

Cheers

Alan Aspinall It has been fun, so thank you.U can friend me if you like, or me you. I do like stright horror, but I also like other things as well, U may want to try the Dresden files if you want something abit lighter, they have elements of horror, comdy, fantasy, as well as mystery, there on the New York best sellers list, Book 16 came out this year. As for my stories, what i'm looking to do is create a horror univers, with cross over plots, as well as characters, which slowly builds over time, They are prity dark though, as one reviewer put it, she wasn't sure if I was demented or a genius lol, only in horror is that a compliment lol
