THAT ENDING THOUGH! PURE GOTHIC REALNESS. hello darkness, my old friend lol.

so i am planning to do some changes on how i write my reviews for inasmuch as i want to write extensive ones, university also requires me to write papers almost everyday (and my poor brain feels overwhelmed due to the daunting number of write-ups ack).

let's see how i can make it work in the pursuit of brevity and substance!

[5] this book really slapped me in the face with Gothic realness that i missed reading since The Count of Monte Cristo (and i'm totally not complaining)

[1] you know you're reading a 19th century novel when morrow is a word frequently used, as in to-morrow. this is the joy that classics bring me as a nerdy linguist lol
[2] oh shit, two chapters in and i'm already fucking confused. this book has the characters' lineage really messed up and my poor little brain can't process it all at once aCK HUHUHU
