Me too—I love "Ave, generosa" and "Columba aspexit" and others I don't know the names of...found this book in a heap outside the thrift store one night and swiped it. It's mad and Blakean, lovely so far—
WTF GOODREADS NOT SENDING ME UPDATES >:-(I had that album out of the SJC library for months, what's it called - ? Feather on the Breath of God? Just amazing. I know she wrote, but never picked any of it up! I totally should, she sounds awesome.
My undergraduate professor (to whom I spoke today! God bless her) let me make a tape off her album of Hildegard chants many a yar ago. And I love it. It has solaced me through many an ulcerous night, or a chilled red-eye flight, let me tell you.

I think I actually dubbed Feather off that SJC album (I taped SO MANY SJC records and CDS, thank you Ahmet Ertegun, or was it Jac Holzman?). I should get the CD, or at least the mp3s....
In late 1950, Elektra Records was born in 19-year-old Jac Holzman's dorm room at St. John's College in Maryland.
