Truce meant fuck all in 14th century France. Free companies ravaged a land without a king pushing both bourgeois and peasants to revolt against the nobility and fail. The poverty line for peasants in the day was known as the plow line (whether you owned one or not); 80% fell below it.

So The Black Death was horrific and gruesome, but honestly it PALES in comparison to the oppression or outright extermination of Jews during the 14th century.
