yeah this one is MILES better than the first

I do appreciate how this book takes the time for world building

OH MY GOD STOP USING THAT CRINGY PHRASE IT BREAKS THE MOOD

a good thing about reading this slowly is that instead of a glut of chocolate . . . it's like having a piece or two every day to spread out the sweetness instead of wallowing in it and regretting the binge a few hours later

the beginning was definitely abnormal compared to the rest of this book bc it's brilliant and engaging and I just wanna be lost in this world for a long, long time

look this was all well and good until the phrase "turgid peak" was used and I physically winced

need me some quality fanfic-style stuff after last week
