My main character Justyce is as smart as a teacher. This is an example of a simile.

I can infer that the main character, Justyce is feeling sad because of his bestfriend Manny's death. "Jus, with tears in his eyes, recounts the final minutes of Manny's life" (Stone 188). This evidence shows why I inferred that the m main character Justyce is feeling sad.

What has happened in my book today is Justyce got into a fight at Blake's birthday party because Blake was being racist and now Justyce is walking home toxicated.

A word I would use to describe my book is encouraging because in the book it shows that no matter who you are you can do anything as long as you put your mind to it.

My main character, Justyce, desires getting in to Yale. Juctyce want this because it is one of his dreams to get accepted in to Yale. Justyce is willing to work hard in school an do good on tests to get in to Yale.

In the book, Dear Martin the main character has a friendship with Manny. Justyce ans Manny's friendship is important because Justyce and Manny know each other very well and they both grew up together.

In the book Dear Martin Justyce and his friends dressed up as political statements for Halloween.

In Dear Martin the tone of the text is upset. "But to hear him agree that things are equal when he KNOWS about my incident...well, I'm kinda mad about that, if you want the truth" (Stone 37). This evidence shows how the tone of the text is upset.

In Dear Martin, the main character, Justyce, was in class and his class is having a class discussion and he uses " Okay, I'll bite, in my opinion, yes" (Stone 23).
