I am reading 'What if... all the rumors were true' by Liz Ruckdeschel. Action verbs; studied, dressing, creative, worked, accessorized. Colorful Modifiers; The boy's hair was parted on one side, and he had a stern, Meet the Press expression on his olive-skinned face. This helps me understand the book more because I can picture whats happening in the book.
